Pomerantz LLP has announced it is investigating whether Identiv, Inc. (NASDAQ: INVE) and certain officers or directors have engaged in securities fraud or other unlawful business practices. The investigation follows a sharp decline in Identiv’s stock price after the company revealed plans to divest its Internet of Things (IoT) assets.

Identiv has long been a prominent name in the RFID and IoT space. The company is known for its portfolio of RFID transponders, including high-frequency (HF) and near-field communication (NFC) inlays and tags used across sectors such as healthcare, logistics, retail, and government security. Its reader hardware and access control solutions have been deployed in enterprise environments worldwide, making the company a significant player in the broader RFID ecosystem.

On June 24, 2026, Identiv announced an agreement to sell its IoT assets and its Thai subsidiary to Trackonomy Systems, Inc. Under the terms of the deal, Identiv would contribute $25 million in cash in exchange for $50 million in Trackonomy preferred equity. The announcement sent shockwaves through the investor community. On June 25, 2026, Identiv’s stock price fell $1.19 per share, a drop of 32.25%, closing at just $2.50 per share.

The scale of the stock decline has raised questions among shareholders about whether the company adequately disclosed material information related to the transaction. Pomerantz LLP, a firm that specializes in corporate, securities, and antitrust class litigation, is now looking into whether investors may have been harmed by the company’s actions or disclosures leading up to the deal.

For the RFID industry, the sale of Identiv’s IoT division represents a notable shift. Identiv’s transponder business has been a key supplier of NFC and HF inlays to brand protection, pharmaceutical, and smart packaging markets. The transfer of these assets to Trackonomy Systems, a company focused on industrial IoT and supply chain automation, could reshape how these products are developed and distributed going forward. Industry observers will be watching closely to see whether Trackonomy maintains the same level of investment in RFID tag innovation that Identiv has provided over the years.

The deal also raises broader questions about consolidation in the RFID sector. As companies look to streamline operations and focus on core competencies, asset sales like this one can create uncertainty for customers, partners, and the wider supply chain. For businesses that rely on Identiv’s transponders and reader technology, the transition period will be critical.

Pomerantz LLP has recovered numerous multimillion-dollar damages awards on behalf of class members in previous securities cases. Investors who purchased Identiv shares and wish to learn more about the investigation are encouraged to contact Danielle Peyton at dpeyton@pomlaw.com or by phone at 646-581-9980, extension 7980.

Paragon ID has appointed Konstantinos Lagios as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. The leadership change sees outgoing CEO John Rogers move to an Executive Director role at Grenadier Holdings, the parent company that took Paragon ID private in 2023.

The announcement, made on July 3, 2026, marks a new chapter for the France-headquartered secure identification and smart technology company, which operates across the Transport, e-ID, Payment, and Track and Trace sectors.

Lagios is no stranger to the business. He joined Paragon ID in 2018 as Chief Commercial Officer, where he was responsible for shaping commercial strategy and driving growth across the company’s portfolio of RFID, NFC, IoT, and SaaS solutions. His promotion to the top job comes after nearly three decades of leadership experience in secure technologies and identification.

Before joining Paragon ID, Lagios spent 17 years in senior positions at AUSTRIACARD Group (now AUSTRIACARD Holdings), building deep expertise in secure document production and smart card technology. He holds an MBA from Strathclyde Business School in Glasgow.

Under Rogers’ leadership, Paragon ID underwent a significant transformation. The company completed its transition to private ownership under Grenadier Holdings and used that stability to invest heavily in innovation, strengthen its operational capabilities, and push further into international markets. Rogers will continue to contribute to the wider group in his new role at Grenadier.

Paragon ID’s technology portfolio spans several critical sectors. In Transport and Smart Cities, the company supplies RFID and NFC-enabled ticketing and access solutions. Its Track and Trace division serves logistics and supply chain customers, while the e-ID business produces secure identification documents. The Payment arm delivers contactless payment solutions for financial institutions and transit operators.

Chairman Patrick J. Crean praised the appointment, noting that Lagios combines deep industry knowledge with strategic vision and a thorough understanding of both the business and its people.

For his part, Lagios expressed enthusiasm about leading Paragon ID into its next phase of growth, pointing to the company’s market-leading technologies and strong customer relationships as key foundations for the future.

The appointment positions Paragon ID to accelerate its strategy in secure identification and connected ecosystems at a time when demand for RFID, NFC, and IoT-based solutions continues to grow across government, transport, and enterprise markets worldwide.

SuperCom has signed and launched Norway’s national electronic monitoring contract with the country’s Prison and Probation Service, marking a major win that displaces a 20-year incumbent provider. The deal, which carries a customer-published budget of $6.1 million, extends SuperCom’s footprint across all five Nordic countries.

The contract value ranges from $1.8 million in the base case to $6.1 million depending on expansion programs and the deployment of additional monitoring units beyond the initial rollout. SuperCom plans to deploy approximately 1,000 units as part of the project, including its PureOne GPS tracking devices, PureCom house-arrest monitoring equipment, and potential future additions such as facility tracking and PureTrack GPS technology.

SuperCom secured the contract after achieving the highest technology score and overall competitive score in the Norwegian government’s RFP process. The win is particularly notable given the long tenure of the previous provider, underscoring the strength of SuperCom’s offering in the electronic monitoring space.

CEO Ordan Trabelsi described the contract as “a significant strategic milestone” for the company. “Winning the national contract in Norway demonstrates SuperCom’s ability to compete and win at the national-government level across an entire region,” he said, pointing to what he called the company’s “strong international momentum, including more than 20 national project wins across Europe in recent years.”

The Norway deal adds to a growing portfolio of government contracts for SuperCom, which now operates electronic monitoring programs in Denmark, Sweden, Finland, and Iceland alongside its new Norwegian deployment. This Nordic-wide presence positions the company as a dominant player in the region’s justice technology sector.

Beyond Europe, SuperCom has been expanding aggressively in the United States, securing over 40 new contracts since mid-2024. The company reported trailing-twelve-month EBITDA of $10.3 million, reflecting steady financial performance as it scales its monitoring and tracking solutions globally.

Electronic monitoring technology, which relies on GPS tracking and RF-based house-arrest systems, has become an increasingly important tool for correctional services worldwide. These systems offer governments a cost-effective alternative to traditional incarceration while enabling real-time location tracking and compliance monitoring of individuals under supervision.

SuperCom’s PureOne and PureCom product lines represent the company’s core hardware offerings in this space, combining GPS positioning with cellular connectivity to deliver continuous monitoring capabilities. The addition of PureTrack GPS in potential future phases of the Norway contract could further extend the system’s reach into facility-based tracking applications.

Unified Information Devices, Inc. (UID) has completed its acquisition of AEG Identifikationssysteme GmbH (AEG ID), bringing together two established players in the industrial RFID space. The deal includes AEG ID’s German headquarters in Ulm and its manufacturing operations in the Czech Republic, positioning the combined company for significant growth across North America and Europe.

The acquisition gives UID direct access to AEG ID’s high-volume transponder production capabilities. AEG ID produces tens of millions of transponders each year and has built deep expertise in industrial automation, logistics, and animal identification. The company also participates in ISO technical working groups for animal identification standards and offers a broad portfolio that spans chip design, RFID readers, antennas, and tracking technologies.

For UID, headquartered in Kenosha, Wisconsin, the merger adds substantial manufacturing scale and European market reach to its existing product lines. UID is known for its temperature-sensing microchips, the AnyCage home cage monitoring system, and a range of RFID-enabled identification and monitoring solutions used in research and healthcare environments.

The combined entity plans to target several high-growth sectors, including manufacturing automation, healthcare traceability, semiconductor production, animal health identification, and Industry 4.0 environments. These are areas where reliable RFID data capture is becoming increasingly critical as organisations adopt more automated and AI-driven workflows.

UID CEO Craig Jordan highlighted the strategic rationale behind the deal. “North America remains one of the world’s largest markets for industrial automation, traceability, and RFID-enabled asset intelligence,” Jordan said. The acquisition positions the company to compete more effectively in these markets by combining AEG ID’s proven manufacturing with UID’s sensor and monitoring technologies.

Chief Science Officer Matt Ruiter pointed to the growing importance of data quality in automated environments. “As organizations increasingly rely on automation and AI-driven decision-making, the quality and integrity of the underlying data become critical,” Ruiter noted. RFID technology sits at the foundation of that data layer, providing the real-time identification and tracking information that feeds into broader enterprise systems.

The deal reflects a wider trend in the RFID industry, where consolidation is accelerating as companies look to offer more complete solutions. Customers in sectors like manufacturing and healthcare increasingly want end-to-end RFID capabilities from a single supplier, covering everything from transponders and readers to software and integration services.

With AEG ID’s production facilities now under its umbrella, UID gains the ability to serve customers on both sides of the Atlantic with locally manufactured products. This is particularly relevant for sectors with strict supply chain and traceability requirements, where sourcing from a known and auditable manufacturer can be a deciding factor.

The merged company will continue to operate from both the Kenosha and Ulm locations, maintaining AEG ID’s established relationships with European customers while expanding its North American footprint.

ZFLO Technologies has announced the appointment of Tom Meehan, CFI, to its Board of Directors. The move signals a significant step forward for the Austin-based company as it continues to develop solutions aimed at combating package theft and improving transparency across the e-commerce last-mile delivery chain.

Meehan is widely recognized across the retail technology and asset protection industries for his leadership in RFID, operational intelligence, and emerging technology strategy. He currently serves as CEO of CONTROLTEK, where he oversees the company’s strategic direction spanning RFID, EAS, sensor fusion technologies, and connected enterprise solutions that support organizations worldwide.

“Tom’s experience leading large-scale RFID initiatives and connected retail deployments makes him an exceptional addition to our board,” said Larry Fox, CEO of ZFLO Technologies. “His expertise in deployment strategy, enterprise innovation, and intelligent tracking solutions aligns strongly with our vision for the future of connected commerce.”

ZFLO Technologies develops technology solutions focused on shipment verification, delivery intelligence, operational efficiency, and package tracking across retail, logistics, and enterprise environments. The addition of Meehan to the board is expected to accelerate the company’s efforts to bring greater visibility and accountability to the shipment journey.

As part of the broader relationship, ZFLO Technologies and CONTROLTEK plan to collaborate strategically. The goal is to help organizations gain deeper intelligence across the entire shipment lifecycle, from supply chain operations and fulfillment centers through to final delivery and customer receipt. CONTROLTEK’s expertise in RFID-enabled inventory and shipment tracking complements ZFLO Technologies’ focus on last-mile delivery intelligence and package verification technology.

“Organizations today need better data, stronger accountability, and real-time operational insight across every stage of fulfillment,” said Meehan. “By combining CONTROLTEK’s RFID expertise with ZFLO Technologies’ last-mile delivery intelligence, organizations can create a more connected and transparent view of the shipment journey from distribution to doorstep.”

The appointment reflects a growing trend across the RFID and IoT sectors where companies are bringing together complementary capabilities to address the increasingly complex challenges of modern supply chain management. With package theft continuing to rise and consumer expectations around delivery transparency growing, the collaboration between ZFLO Technologies and CONTROLTEK could position both companies to deliver more comprehensive solutions to retailers and logistics providers.

Clustag has taken a significant step toward becoming a fully integrated traceability provider with its acquisition of Labelmasters, a specialist in automated labeling solutions for logistics and distribution environments.

The deal, announced by the Barcelona-based RFID and traceability company, brings Labelmasters’ expertise in high-speed labeling systems under the Clustag umbrella. It marks a deliberate shift toward vertical integration, giving Clustag direct control over a critical piece of the traceability puzzle that it previously relied on third parties to deliver.

Labelmasters has built its reputation on automated labeling technology designed for demanding operational settings, including distribution centers, automated warehouses, parcel handling facilities, and high-speed sorting lines. The company’s product portfolio includes the Korat printer and labeler, a system purpose-built for environments where speed and accuracy in label application are non-negotiable.

For Clustag, the acquisition addresses several strategic priorities at once. By bringing labeling capabilities in-house, the company reduces its dependence on external suppliers for key project components. It also opens up new recurring revenue streams tied to consumables and specialized labeling services, areas that tend to generate steady, predictable income once deployed at scale.

Luis Rius, CEO of Clustag, framed the move as part of a longer-term plan. “This move represents a natural step in Clustag’s evolution toward a vertical integration model,” Rius said. The implication is clear: Clustag wants to own as much of the traceability value chain as possible, from label creation through to data capture and analytics.

Giuseppe Vernone, who founded Labelmasters, expressed optimism about what the partnership could unlock. “Joining Clustag is a unique opportunity to accelerate the development of innovative labeling solutions,” Vernone said.

The combined entity is now positioned to offer end-to-end solutions for retail and distribution companies. That means covering everything from intelligent label design and automated application through to real-time data capture and analysis via Clustag’s Zentup software platform. For businesses managing complex supply chains across multiple product categories, having a single technology partner handle the full workflow is an attractive proposition.

The sectors that stand to benefit from this expanded capability are broad. Clustag and Labelmasters together serve clients in apparel, sports goods, personal care, pharmaceuticals, grocery, and postal and courier operations. Each of these industries faces growing pressure to improve traceability, whether driven by regulatory requirements, consumer demand for transparency, or the operational need to track goods accurately through increasingly complex supply networks.

The acquisition fits a wider pattern in the RFID and traceability sector, where technology providers are moving away from point solutions and toward comprehensive platforms. Companies that can offer a complete stack, from physical labeling hardware through to cloud-based analytics, are better placed to win large-scale deployments and lock in long-term client relationships.

With Labelmasters now part of the group, Clustag has strengthened its hand considerably in that race.

Zebra Technologies has posted a strong first quarter for 2026, reporting net sales of $1,495 million, a 14.3% increase compared to the same period last year. The results underline the continued demand for RFID-enabled enterprise solutions across supply chain, retail and manufacturing sectors.

The company’s two core business segments both delivered solid organic growth. The Connected Frontline (CF) segment brought in $825 million, up from $684 million in Q1 2025, driven by ongoing adoption of mobile computing and RFID handheld devices by frontline workers. The Asset Visibility and Automation (AVA) segment generated $670 million, compared to $624 million a year earlier, reflecting growing investment in fixed RFID readers, barcode scanning infrastructure and automation technology.

Consolidated organic growth came in at 4.3%, with the CF segment growing 3.8% and AVA at 4.8%. The AVA segment’s performance is particularly notable given Zebra’s expanding portfolio of RAIN RFID readers and UHF solutions that are seeing increased deployment in retail inventory management and logistics operations.

Profitability metrics were equally encouraging. Net income reached $135 million, or $2.72 per diluted share, while non-GAAP diluted earnings per share climbed to $4.75 from $4.02 in the prior year quarter. Adjusted EBITDA hit $347 million, representing a 23.2% margin. Gross margin ticked up to 49.6% from 49.3%, with the adjusted figure reaching 50.4%.

CEO Bill Burns highlighted the durability of demand for Zebra’s innovative technology portfolio, noting that the company achieved organic growth across all segments and regions. CFO Nathan Winters pointed to the company’s focus on profitable growth, operating discipline and margin expansion as key drivers behind the results.

On the cash flow front, Zebra generated $176 million in operating cash flow and $163 million in free cash flow during the quarter. The company also returned $300 million to shareholders through share repurchases, signalling confidence in its forward outlook.

Looking ahead, Zebra expects Q2 2026 sales growth of 14% to 17%, with an EBITDA margin slightly above 21% and non-GAAP EPS of $4.20 to $4.50. For the full year 2026, the company is guiding for sales growth of 10% to 14%, an EBITDA margin of approximately 22%, non-GAAP EPS of $18.30 to $18.70, and free cash flow exceeding $900 million.

These results reinforce Zebra’s position as a leading provider of enterprise RFID and data capture technology. As retailers, logistics providers and manufacturers continue to invest in UHF and RAIN RFID solutions for inventory accuracy and supply chain visibility, Zebra remains well placed to benefit from these long-term technology adoption trends.

Identiv, a global leader in digital security and RFID transponder technology, has reported strong first quarter 2026 financial results that exceeded management guidance. The company posted net revenue of $7.4 million for the quarter ending March 31, 2026, up significantly from $5.3 million in the same period a year earlier. A key driver behind the beat was a single customer placing their entire full-year 2026 order volume during Q1.

The revenue performance marked a turning point for Identiv as it continues to execute its Perform-Accelerate-Transform strategy. Known for its HF and NFC transponder inlays, RFID readers, and IoT security products, the company has been restructuring its manufacturing operations to improve cost efficiency and long-term profitability.

Gross margins showed a dramatic improvement. GAAP gross margin rose to 17.4%, compared to just 2.5% in Q1 2025. On a non-GAAP basis, gross margin reached 23.8%, up from 10.8% a year ago. The company attributed much of this improvement to its transition of manufacturing operations to Thailand and the elimination of legacy production costs in Singapore. These structural changes are clearly paying off, as the business moves closer to sustainable profitability.

On the bottom line, Identiv reported a GAAP net loss of $3.4 million, or $0.15 per share. While still in the red, this represents a meaningful improvement from the Q1 2025 net loss of $4.8 million, or $0.21 per share. Operating expenses held relatively steady at $5.5 million on a GAAP basis and $4.4 million non-GAAP, suggesting the company is keeping spending disciplined while investing in growth.

CEO Kirsten Newquist expressed confidence in the company’s trajectory, noting that the results reflected continued momentum across the business. The Perform-Accelerate-Transform framework is designed to stabilise core operations, accelerate growth in high-value segments like RFID and IoT security, and transform the business model for long-term scalability.

Looking ahead, Identiv’s management provided guidance for Q2 2026, forecasting revenue in the range of $5.4 million to $6.0 million. The sequential decline from Q1 reflects the timing impact of the large customer order that pulled forward into the first quarter. Investors will be watching to see whether the company can sustain its margin gains and continue winning new RFID transponder design wins.

The company held its Q1 2026 earnings conference call on May 13, 2026, with a replay available through May 27, 2026. Identiv remains focused on growing its position in the RFID and NFC transponder market while leveraging its Thailand manufacturing base to deliver improved economics.

Impinj has posted strong first quarter 2026 financial results, with revenue and adjusted EBITDA both surpassing the upper end of the company’s guidance range. The RAIN RFID technology provider reported Q1 revenue of $74.3 million and highlighted record endpoint IC bookings that point to significant momentum heading into the second quarter.

CEO Chris Diorio described the results as “solid,” noting that the record bookings are driving a robust outlook for Q2 2026. The company is guiding for second quarter revenue between $103.0 million and $106.0 million, representing substantial sequential growth of roughly 39% to 43% from Q1 levels.

On the profitability front, Impinj reported a GAAP net loss of $25.3 million, or $0.83 per diluted share, for the first quarter. However, the headline loss figure was heavily influenced by an $11.9 million induced conversion expense tied to the company’s convertible notes. Stripping out that one-off charge, the underlying operating performance was considerably stronger. Non-GAAP net income came in at $4.4 million, or $0.14 per diluted share, while adjusted EBITDA reached $3.4 million.

Cash flow generation also showed marked improvement. Impinj delivered positive free cash flow of $2.2 million during Q1, a sharp turnaround from the negative $13.0 million recorded in the same period last year. That swing reflects both operational discipline and growing demand for the company’s RAIN RFID solutions.

GAAP gross margin stood at 49.1% for the quarter, with non-GAAP gross margin reaching 52.4%. Both figures demonstrate the healthy margins that Impinj’s endpoint IC and reader portfolio continues to command in the UHF RFID market.

The second quarter outlook is particularly striking. Beyond the revenue jump, Impinj expects GAAP net income of $7.6 million to $9.1 million, a return to profitability after the Q1 loss. Adjusted EBITDA is projected to land between $27.8 million and $29.3 million, while non-GAAP net income per diluted share is forecast at $0.77 to $0.82.

Impinj sits at the heart of the RAIN RFID ecosystem, supplying the endpoint ICs (tag chips), readers, gateways, and software that enable item-level visibility across retail, logistics, and supply chain applications. The company’s record bookings suggest that enterprise adoption of RAIN RFID technology continues to accelerate, with more organizations deploying UHF-based solutions for inventory management, asset tracking, and loss prevention.

With Q2 shaping up to deliver both strong revenue growth and a return to GAAP profitability, Impinj appears well positioned to capitalize on broadening demand for RAIN RFID infrastructure throughout the remainder of 2026.
