Peacock Bros Launches Unified RFID Software to Transform Asset Management

Australian supply-chain technology specialist Peacock Bros has announced the launch of a new unified RFID software solution designed to streamline and enhance asset management across enterprise operations. According to the company, the new platform brings together a rugged mobile application and a web-based portal to consolidate previously disparate RFID tagging, scanning and reporting workflows. The announcement serves as a signal of growing momentum for RFID usage in warehouse, logistics and distribution-centre environments.

Historically many organisations implementing RFID have relied on multiple tools covering tag printing, field scanning, inventory check-in/out and enterprise reporting. These fragmented solutions often introduce inefficiencies, manual data-entry errors and blind spots in asset visibility. The new software by Peacock Bros is built to replace this patchwork with a single platform that captures data at the point of activity and grants oversight via a central portal.

At the core of the platform is the mobile app compatible with Android rugged devices and industrial scanners. Field users scanning RFID tags can register assets, encode tags, perform inspections and carry out inventory checks directly in-the-field. The mobile app supports offline operations with automatic synchronisation once connectivity is available, ensuring that asset-management workflows remain uninterrupted in challenging environments.

Complementing the mobile capability is the web-based portal which gives managers enterprise-level oversight. Features include location management, bulk data import, GPS-tagged scan events, user-role control, automated reporting and secure cloud-based access. The combined architecture enables organisations to maintain tight control over their asset-tracking ecosystem while allowing mobility and flexibility in the field.

The company’s Executive Director, George Pecchiar, commented that the solution was “designed to replace the patchwork of tools and manual processes businesses have been relying on” and pointed out that by delivering a connected solution “assets can be registered, tracked and managed in real time”.

From a practical standpoint, the unified platform promises several business advantages: real-time asset visibility, reduction in manual tasks and errors, improved audit-trail capability and enhanced asset security. For organisations with large fleets of tagged assets or expensive equipment the value of visibility and control can be substantial. The platform also supports scalability as business needs evolve and integrates into existing enterprise systems and workflows.

The launch arrives at a time when RFID adoption in Australia is gaining traction. A recent industry commentary noted that Australian businesses are increasingly advancing their use of RFID in supply chains, driven by the need for accuracy, automation and real-time data insight.

For the broader RFID community, the announcement is noteworthy because it emphasises software-centric innovation. Much of the RFID value is traditionally centred on hardware, tags, readers and antennas, but this release highlights how enterprise software and mobile apps are becoming the differentiator. In effect the asset-tracking stack is shifting from hardware-first to platform-enabled.

Peacock Bros’ new unified RFID software platform offers a modernised approach to asset management. By giving field staff mobile tools for capture and enterprise teams a powerful portal for oversight the company aims to eliminate legacy inefficiencies and deliver improved visibility, control and performance. For organisations serious about asset integrity and operational optimisation the solution is one to watch.
