German manufacturer of RFID and RTLS hardware, building readers, antennas and OEM modules for UHF and HF/NFC. Founded in 2005 and based in Magdeburg, with a US office in Chicago. Its OEM modules are designed to be built into other manufacturers' equipment rather than sold as finished devices, which puts Metratec in the supply chain behind a range of industrial products. Alongside identification it supplies real time location systems for tracking people, assets and containers inside buildings, with stated applications in manufacturing, logistics, access control, personnel safety and hospital asset tracking.
